The competition has been running for 14 years in the UK and now includes think tanks across Europe and the United States. Inspired by it, and in collaboration with a Peruvian publication, Revista PODER, we launched the\u00a0<a title=\"Premio PODER to the Peruvian Think Tank of the Year 2013: some lessons\" href=https://onthinktanks.org/"https:////onthinktanks.org//2013//10//24//premio-poder-to-the-peruvian-think-tank-of-the-year-2013-some-lessons///" target=\"_blank\">Premio PODER al Think Tank del A\u00f1o in 2013<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year,\u00a0<a href=https://onthinktanks.org/"http:////premiopoder.pe///" target=\"_blank\">Revista PODER and On Think Tanks have launched the second edition of the award<\/a>. This time around, we will reward think tanks\u2019 work on a number of thematic categories:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Think Tank of the year<\/li>\n<li>Best Think Tank based outside of Lima (the capital city)<\/li>\n<li>Best Think Tank on Economic and Financial Policy<\/li>\n<li>Best Think Tank on Social Policy<\/li>\n<li>Best Think Tank on Environmental and Natural Resources Policies<\/li>\n<li>Best Think Tank on science, technology and innovation<\/li>\n<li>The one to watch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Applications are open until the 31st August and the awards will be announced in late October 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other global rankings, this award is transparent. The judges are known and their assessments will be published just as Prospect Magazine has done.
