Our core research areas include programs focused on Climate Change &amp; Energy Transition, Economy &amp; Trade and Geopolitics &amp; Strategic Studies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview (Centre for Economy and Trade):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Centre for Economy and Trade at CRF aims to shape the policy debate on how to foster a resilient and inclusive global economy. It is a progressive centre devoted to addressing critical global issues within the realms of economics, trade, and commerce.<br \/>\nThe Centre of Economy and Trade is accepting applications for the role of Senior Fellow.<br \/>\nThe Senior Fellow will report directly to the respective Centre Head of CRF and is expected to conduct in-depth, high-quality public policy research in areas of their expertise; support in publications and engage with stakeholders to promote our events.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Research Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain in-depth expertise in a specific policy area within the economics and trade-related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Lead meetings, conferences and conduct cutting-edge research, producing regular knowledge reports which include papers, briefs, books, journals and publications.<\/li>\n<li>Produce scholarly publications, policy papers, and opinion pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert commentary and analysis on economic and trade issues.<\/li>\n<li>Publish extensively in leading journals and contribute to public discourse<\/li>\n<li>Lead meetings, conferences and conduct cutting-edge research, producing regular knowledge reports which include papers, briefs, books, journals and publications.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and advocate for evidence-based policy recommendations, influencing decision-makers and driving positive change.<\/li>\n<li>Synthesize large amounts of information, perform qualitative analysis, and report results to diverse audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communication:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as a recognized thought leader, speaking at conferences, publishing reports, and contributing to public discourse in your field.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with other stakeholders including scholars, policymakers, government officials and private players to advocate for our events and enhance communication efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the think tank, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor junior researchers and staff, sharing your knowledge and experience to build a strong research team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications and Skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant field related to the policy area of expertise.<\/li>\n<li>20+ years of experience in policy research, analysis, and advocacy.<\/li>\n<li>Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and policy platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in econometric modelling (SPSS and E-views) and data analysis using tools like STATA, R, or Python.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of international trade theories, WTO agreements, and domestic economic policies.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing personnel, projects, budgets, and grants strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, including public speaking and media engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to influence policy and public discourse in their area of expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with and respond to questions from a range of individuals with diverse interests, backgrounds, and dispositions from across a wide spectrum of views on foreign policy and national security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) is a nonprofit public policy organization based in New Delhi.
